Hero by Mariah Carey

  E
There's a hero
        Bsus4
If you look inside your heart
            A*
You don't have to be afraid
             B
Of what you are

             E
There's an answer
       Bsus4
If you reach into your soul
         C
And the sorrow that you know
           Bsus4 B
Will melt away

E C#m*
And then a hero comes along
                           A
With the strength to carry on
                   A** A***
And you cast your fears aside
          B E
And you know you can survive
                              C#m*
So when you feel like hope is gone
                           A
Look inside you and be strong,
                   A** A***
And you'll finally see the truth
       Bsus4 B E
That a hero lies in you

E
It's a long road
         Bsus4
When you face the world alone
          A*
No one reaches out a hand
            B
For you to hold

E
You can find love
       Bsus4
If you search within yourself
         C
And the emptiness you felt
       Bsus4 B
Will disappear

E C#m*
And then a hero comes along
                           A
With the strength to carry on
                   A** A***
And you cast your fears aside
          B E
And you know you can survive
                              C#m*
So when you feel like hope is gone
                           A
Look inside you and be strong,
                   A** A***
And you'll finally see the truth
       Bsus4 B E
That a hero lies in you

A*
Lord knows
                    C#m*
Dreams are hard to follow
Asus2 A
But don't let anyone
           B
Tear them away

A* C#m*
Hold on
Asus2
There will be tomorrow
     A
In time
   B E
You'll find the way

E C#m*
And then a hero comes along
                           A
With the strength to carry on
                   A** A***
And you cast your fears aside
          B E
And you know you can survive
                              C#m*
So when you feel like hope is gone
                           A
Look inside you and be strong,
                   A** A***

       Bsus4 B E
That a hero lies in you
