Korn

Korn is an American metal band from Bakersfield, California, regarded as a founder of the nu metal genre. The band consists of vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarist James "Munky" Schaeffer and bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arviju, and is known for Davis' unique vocal style: a mix of grunts, wailing and scats. Their sound combines metal, rap metal and funk, reinforced by seven-string guitars and pounding drums. They regularly collaborate with hip-hop artists such as Ice Cube and Nas, which further anchors their sound in alternative metal.

Korn's influence on the metal scene is considerable: successful bands such as Linkin Park, Deftones and Limp Bizkit flourished in part thanks to their groundbreaking role.
