Biography
Gers Pardoel, born as Gerwin Pardoel in 1981 in Nijmegen, is a Dutch rapper and singer who achieved great success in a short time. His career began when he came into contact with rappers such as Postman and The Opposites, after which he broke through in 2010 with a contribution to the track Broodje Bakpao . A year later he scored his first solo hit with Ik ga hard together with The Partysquad, Adje and Jayh.
His real breakthrough came in 2011 with Ik neem je mee , which became one of the greatest Dutch-language hits ever. The track topped the charts for weeks and was even named the most streamed Dutch-language song of that year. With his debut album Deze wereld is van jou (2011) he confirmed his success and established himself as a fixture in the Dutch pop and hip-hop scene.
Gers Pardoel is known for his accessible lyrics, positive vibe and his ability to combine rap and pop music into hits that are embraced by a broad audience. He has worked with artists such as Guus Meeuwis, Marco Borsato and Doe Maar.
