Biografie
Gers Pardoel, born as Gerwin Pardoel in 1981 in Nijmegen, is a Dutch rapper and singer who achieved great success in a short time. His career began when he came into contact with rappers such as Postman and The Opposites, after which he broke through in 2010 with a contribution to the track Broodje Bakpao . A year later he scored his first solo hit with Ik ga hard together with The Partysquad, Adje and Jayh.
His real breakthrough came in 2011 with Ik neem je mee , which became one of the greatest Dutch-language hits ever. The track topped the charts for weeks and was even named the most streamed Dutch-language song of that year. With his debut album Deze wereld is van jou (2011) he confirmed his success and established himself as a fixture in the Dutch pop and hip-hop scene.
Gers Pardoel is known for his accessible lyrics, positive vibe and his ability to combine rap and pop music into hits that are embraced by a broad audience. He has worked with artists such as Guus Meeuwis, Marco Borsato and Doe Maar.

Het nummer Ik neem je mee is zonder twijfel Gers Pardoels grootste hit. De tekst is luchtig en romantisch, met een refrein dat meteen in het hoofd blijft hangen. Muzikaal is het nummer eenvoudig opgebouwd, waardoor het gemakkelijk mee te zingen en te spelen is op gitaar of piano.
Andere bekende nummers zijn Bagagedrager (met Sef) en Louise . Bagagedrager combineert humor met een catchy refrein, terwijl Louise een meer persoonlijke en emotionele kant van Gers laat horen. Zijn muziek is vaak positief van toon en draait om liefde, vriendschap en genieten van het leven.
