Biography
Muse, consisting of 3 band members, started out of boredom at age 13 in their hometown Teignmouth, in Devon England with a band called 'Gothic Plague'.
After a while they decided to change the name to 'Fixed Penalty', only to then call themselves 'Rocket Baby Dolls'. In 1997, after they had now definitively adopted the name 'Muse', they released their debut album on the Dangerous Records label.

About the music
Soon after came their second album, Muscle Museum EP, which cemented their name and rising status. Their blend of progressive rock, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation is followed closely by many fans worldwide. Success assured and often at their best live, they have since played at many major festivals, including PinkPop, Lowlands and Roskilde.
This success story continued with a newly released live album on Warner Records: H.A.A.R.P.
With this label they have truly left their indie status behind, as earlier albums were released on a smaller label called Mushroom.
It has been claimed that Muse wants to return to their old roots and step away from Warner to avoid overproduced albums. Matthew Bellamy has the idea to produce himself, and with that this would be Muse's last album. Muse is thinking of releasing some tracks each month on a CD-Single and at the end of a year releasing a kind of 'Best-Of' CD.
On 12 April 2008 they give a benefit concert for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
