Biography
Tokio Hotel is a German rock band with roots in Magdeburg, formed in 2001 under the name Devilish. The group consists of vocalist Bill Kaulitz, guitarist Tom Kaulitz (both born 1989), bassist Georg Listing (1987) and drummer Gustav Schäfer (1988). Their approach is international: songs and albums are released in both German and English, such as the double album Schrei / Scream and tracks like "Durch Den Monsun / Monsoon". This gave them reach in multiple markets.
With albums such as Zimmer 483 (2007) and Scream (2007), Tokio Hotel built a strong fanbase. Tokio Hotel originally existed under the name Devilish, in 2001. As they gained more recognition, they changed their name to Tokio Hotel. "We wanted a name that suited us better. And Tokyo is a place we all want to visit. The hotel is basically our house. Tokio Hotel, so." That's what the group said.
The German group does not focus solely on German-language songs. The songs, as well as the albums they release in German, also come out in English.

The members, Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer, have been together since 2001. They met each other in Magdeburg. "Tom and Bill were the only non-normal people in Magdeburg and I knew I wanted to be in their band," says Georg.
They also met after a concert. One says one thing, the other says another. Both are correct. A small profile of the four guys:

But certainly all well deserved, because Tokio Hotel is a FAN-TAS-TIC band! Tokio Hotel, 14 June in Nijmegen! What an incredibly cool concert. This concert was performed entirely in German. 'Tokio Hotel looks much better singing only in German,' say many fans. One of the most beautiful moments was when 1000 Meere was sung. Millions of lighters went up in the air! To see? Coming soon!
