Biography
Keane, originally started as a cover band in 1997, when they each began college, have known each other since their youth. As a cover band they played throughout and beyond Sussex, England, until the singer, after graduating from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Art History, decided to join his bandmates in London.

About the music
That's when the three of them started seriously working on their musical career. They wrote and almost simultaneously produced their own songs, which led to their debut album 'Call Me What You Like', released under their own production in 2000. 'Wolf at the Door' followed just over a year later, but despite the quick release schedule, it didn't immediately result in them becoming known and heard.
It wasn't until well into 2003 that they were signed to the label Island UK, after Fierce Panda's Simon Williams, a friend and colleague, had seen one of their concerts. He was so impressed by their talent that he offered to release their second single 'Everybody's Changing'. This became such a massive radio hit that various labels began circling the new, rising band to bring Keane to great success.
