Biography
Rise Against is an American band at home in punk and hardcore punk. With their powerful, politically charged messages, they have reached a broad audience of listeners. Rise Against was founded in 1999 under the name Transistor Revolt. In 2000 the band signed a contract with Fat Wreck Chords. They recorded 2 albums here. Later the band's name was changed to Rise Against. Rise Against then signed with Dreamwork Records. Dreamwork Records is now part of the Universal Music group. In 2006 the DVD 'Generation Lost' by Rise Against was released.
