Biography
Limp Bizkit was formed in 1994 in Florida by frontman Fred Durst and bassist Sam Rivers. With drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland and later DJ Lethal — former DJ of House Of Pain — a five-piece emerged that would define metal, rap metal and rap rock. Their energetic blend of hip-hop, metal and punk made them one of the most striking bands of their time. Durst became known for his red cap and distinctive vocal style, while Borland's guitar work and appearance shaped the band's image.
Following lineup changes — Borland left in 2002 to pursue his own projects, followed by guitarist Mike Smith, after which Borland returned — Limp Bizkit remained active. The band released classics such as "Nookie", "My Generation" and "Rollin'", songs you can easily play yourself on guitar. Limp Bizkit
Limp Bizkit was formed in 1994 in Florida by vocalist Fred Durst and bassist Sam Rivers. Later, Rivers' cousin, drummer John Otto, and guitarist Wes Borland joined the group. The former DJ of House Of Pain, DJ Lethal, completed the lineup. In 2002, Wes Borland left the group to pursue his own projects, including the bands Big Dumb Face and Goatslayer, among others with his brother Scott Borland, who played keyboard on several Limp Bizkit albums. Borland was replaced by Mike Smith. With this change in lineup came a subtle shift in the spelling of the band's name; Limp Bizkit became Limpbizkit. Since then, Smith has left the band and Borland has returned to the fold. According to frontman Durst, the chemistry between Smith and the rest of the band was lacking.
Fred Durst is known for his red cap, now replaced by a black cap resembling the alien's cap in the band's logo. Wes Borland was known for his black-painted face with white stripes, making it look like a skull. According to him, he has since moved past that phase. Together, they formed the face of the band.
