Biography
Maaike Ouboter (1992) is a Dutch singer-songwriter who became known through her participation in the television programme De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland in 2013. During her audition she performed the song Dat ik je mis , an emotional song about loss, with which she deeply moved the Netherlands. The song became a huge hit, reached number one in the charts and grew into a modern Dutch classic.
Following this success she released her debut album En hoe het dan ook weer dag wordt (2015), followed by Vanaf nu is het van jou (2018). Her music is characterised by a combination of intimate lyrics, fragile melodies and her soft, recognisable voice.
