    D             Dsus4 D      C           G
I looked out this morning and the sun was gone,
D              Dsus4 D  C         G
Turned on some music to start my day,
    D          Dsus4 D      C    G
I lost myself in a familiar song,
  D         Dsus4 D     Cmaj7       G/B
I closed my eyes and I slipped away...

When I hear that old song they used to play, more than a feeling
G       C         Em           D
I begin dreaming, more than a feeling
        G      C           Eb
Till I see Marianne walk away

So many people have come and gone,
       D    Dsus4 D     C        G
Their faces fade as the years go by;
    D          Dsus4 D   C     G
Yet I still recall as I wonder on,
   D            Dsus4 D    Cmaj7     G/B
as clear as the sun in the summer sky...
