Beknopte geschiedenis: 1989 Luc De Vos, Wout De Schutter en Geert Bonne huren een repetitieruimte en vinden er zichzelf uit als Gorky 1990 Gorky eindigt 3de in Humo’s Rock Rally en tekent een platencontract bij Virgin. 1991 Eerste single ‘Anja’ wordt opgenomen en wordt net als opvolger 'Lieve kleine piranha' een instant-klassieker. Het titelloze debuutalbum is meteen goed voor een gouden plaat.
