Biography
Davina Michelle, born Michelle Davina Hoogendoorn in 1995 in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, is a Dutch singer and songwriter who in a short time became one of the biggest pop stars in the Netherlands. Her breakthrough came in 2017 when her cover of What About Us (P!nk) went viral on YouTube and was even praised by P!nk herself. After that followed an impressive career in which she scored multiple number 1 hits and achieved millions of streams. In 2018 she won Beste Zangers with her performance of Duurt Te Lang , which topped the charts for weeks. Her music is characterised by a powerful voice, pop productions with international appeal and lyrics that often revolve around resilience, love and personal growth. She performed at major events such as the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 and Formula 1 in Zandvoort.
