Biography
Tom Odell (born in 1990 in Chichester, England) is a British singer-songwriter and pianist. He grew up in a musical environment and learned to play piano from an early age. After studying at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, he signed a record deal and released his debut EP Songs from Another Love in 2012. His breakthrough came in 2013 with the album Long Way Down , which achieved worldwide success thanks to the hit Another Love .
Odell is known for his emotional voice, his expressive piano playing, and lyrics that often revolve around love, loss, and vulnerability. He won the prestigious BRITs Critics' Choice Award in 2013 and has since released multiple albums, including Wrong Crowd (2016), Jubilee Road (2018), Monsters (2021), and Black Friday (2023). His music moves between intimate ballads and larger-scale pop productions, but his piano always remains at the centre.
