Middle of the Road is een band uit Glasgow (Schotland) die in 1971 doorbrak met de hit Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. De bezetting bestond uit zangeres Sally Carr, Ken Andrew (drums) en de broers Eric (basgitaar) en Ian McCredie (gitaar).

Sacramento werd uitgebracht in 1971, stond vanaf januari 1972 16 weken in de hitparade, waarvan 7 weken op één.
