  • I can't log in, what am I doing wrong? Reset password or forgotten?"
    You can log in using the following steps 1. Click Register/Login. 2. If you are already registered click on Login! Otherwise create your new account. 3. You will see a new screen with a choice to log in using your email address, Facebook or Google. If your e-mail address is already known, it does not matter which choice you make as long as it matches.
  • How can I reset my password?
    If you can't log in to your account because you forgot your password, you can have a password reset link sent to your email address. With its help you can create a new password to log in to your account. Step 1: Click on Register/Log in Step 2: Click on login Step 3: Click on "Forgot your password: Step 4: Enter the email address associated with your account. Check your email and follow the instructions to create your new password. If your email address is in our system, you will receive an email with the link you need to reset your password. Also check your spam and junk mail folders.
  • How can I join Guitar Tabs?
    To become a member of Guitar Tabs, go through the following steps: Go via Login to "New to this website? You will also be redirected to the subscriptions page. Choose the subscription that suits you here to try 7 days for free.   • Can I make use of the right of withdrawal?
    Yes, you also have the right through us to withdraw from the agreement within a period of 14 days without stating reasons. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you purchased the service. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of the withdrawal by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. in writing, by post or e-mail). You can use the model withdrawal form (PDF) for this, but it is not obligatory. To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient to send your communication regarding your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. If you revoke the agreement, you will receive back from us all payments you have made up to that point immediately and in any case no later than 14 days after we have been informed of your decision to revoke the agreement.   • How can I have my account completely deleted?
    If you no longer want to use Guitar Tabs at all, you can send us an email via the contact form with a request to delete your account, it is not necessary, but we would of course like to know why.
  • I get a white screen after clicking the password reset link  from the email.
    Try one of the items below to display the password reset page. Refresh the same page again. Cut and paste the link in another browser Empty your browser cache and refresh (reload) the page. If one of the above solutions does not work, please contact us and we will help you further.

  • Hoe kan ik mijn abonnement opzeggen?
    Opzeggen Via je profielpagina > "mijn abonnementen" of "Abonnementen wx" klik je op beëindigen. Je abonnement wordt dan beëindig/ in pauze gezet per eerst volgende termijn. Als je er niet uitkomt stuur je ons een berichtje en stoppen wij je abonnement. Opzegtermijn Je abonnement wordt op de datum waarmee je bent gestart stopgezet. Indien we je vooraankondiging minimaal twee weken voor de nieuwe maand ontvangen kan hij per direct worden gestopt.
  • Can I take guitar lessons if I'm left-handed?
    Yes, even if you are left-handed and use a left-handed guitar, you can take the guitar lessons. The teacher then sits opposite you, as it were.
  • Can I also try the guitar lessons for free?
    Yes, you can try any plan for free for 7 days. This gives you access to all functions of the website.
  • Do you need to have sheet music knowledge to participate?
    No, you do not need any prior knowledge to follow the lessons of During the course you will be taught both sheet music and tablature. Step by step we will teach you to play in any form.
  • I've never played guitar, are these lessons appropriate?"
    Yeah, sure. we really start at the beginning with the attitude, the parts and much more. Feel free to check out the beginners guitar lesson pages to see which parts are covered.
  • Is there a minimum (and maximum) age appropriate for guitar lessons?
    If you want to start young, you can, but a supervisor is recommended. It depends on the motivation of you and your son/daughter/grandchildren to find a fixed rhythm when you can practice together. The youngest I know of is 7 years old. There is no real maximum age, as long as you can (still) hold the guitar and press strings. The oldest I spoke to was over 85.
  • I don't have a guitar yet, which one should I buy?"
    View this blog with tips and tricks for buying a guitar. But to really start from scratch, a Spanish (nylon) guitar is the easiest.
  • What is the difference between the different songs?
    We have different guitar song categories, namely: 1. Chords songs Chords songs show the chords above the lyrics. 2. Tablature songs Lines show the strings and the frets where you have to place your fingers to play a melody line (often also for solos) 3. ChordPro songs This form of playing is characterized by the fact that the chords between the song test are listed, especially for certain editors that can be used. 4. Bass guitar songs Speaks for itself, songs for the bass guitar. 5. ProTabs songs ProTabs are professional guitar tabs that run in sync with a music video, also known as Guitar Pro files.
  • How can I print/print songs?
    You can print the songs by pressing the print button on your browser. You can print from ProTabs via the gear in the media player and then click on Print. More information see media player options Or directly the media player print options
  • Are the songs and lyrics legal to use?
    Yes, Guitar is affiliated with the FEMU and contributes to the earnings for the publishers and artists. With a subscription to you therefore indirectly also pay to the artist.
  • In a song, the   lyrics, tab and/or   chord notation is not correct."
    Great that you saw this! In the past, many members (and still can) add songs to our database without being checked by one of the teachers. Unfortunately, we have not yet had the time to manually go through and correct all songs, so your help and attention is of great importance for a correct database. Could you send us the link so we can improve the song. If you have any suggestions for improvement, we would also like to hear them and we can include them in our assessment.
  • Order and pay
    How can I order and pay for products in the webshop ?   • What's the difference between the guitar book learning environment and an "All in One" subscription?
    The learning environment is a page that belongs to the Step-by-Step Guitar Book. The learning environment contains all exercises, samples and extra videos used in the book. The "All in one" subscription that you get for free for two months with the purchase of the book consists of: Songs & ProTabs subscription en Guitar lesson subscription. With the Liedjes & ProTabs subscription you can play all songs (and ProTabs live) and via the Guitar lesson subscription you have access to all video lessons and all media player samples.
  • Linking the book was not successful, what now?
    If you were unable to link your book, please contact us via chat. Send the following information: - proof of purchase (only if you did not purchase the book through our shop ) - coupon code stated on the sticker. If you purchased the book new, we will manually link the book for you.
  • Can I also link a second-hand purchased book?
    Unfortunately , if you buy a second-hand book from us, you can no longer link the code for free . However, you can order the " Guitar Lessons Handbook subscription " for €15.95/per year for a small amount. This gives you access to the online learning environment.
  • I am a (guitar) teacher, are there special rules and/or possibilities for me?"
    How cool that you're contacting us! Yes, we would like to work together and that can be done in different ways.   • I get an error message "Invalid slice ID (not found)" what should I  do?"
    We are aware of this problem, the error message comes when using Safari and only with guitar lessons (blog post). As a result, the media player will not be displayed. Solution: Use a different browser, for example Chrome this will solve the problem. If the problem persists, send us a message.
  • Troubleshooting: No Sound on iOS
    "Help, I can't hear any sound while the Media Player is playing!" If you're using iOS (iPhone/iPad) and can't get Media Player audio to work, it's probably because your device is in silent mode. See Apple's help page for information on how to get out of silent mode. On some iPads/iPhones this is controlled with a physical button on the side of the device. Toggle that switch and see if it solves the problem. On other iPads/iPhones this is a system level setting. Go to your iOS settings and make sure the sound isn't muted system-wide. Also, go to your iOS Control Center and try to toggle the "bell" icon. This is a poorly communicated button that controls your device's audio. This can also be affected by your device's ringer. Turn on your ringtone - this may unmute the audio. This situation is made even more confusing by the fact that certain apps, such as YouTube, have special privileges to override the system-wide iOS audio setting. This can fool you into believing that your audio is not muted, when in reality it is! Unfortunately, this is a common problem for iOS users and unfortunately Apple doesn't give us a way to detect it. Tim Cook, if you're reading this, please fix it.
  • Troubleshooting: No Sound in Safari on MacOS Catalina
    If you're using the Safari web browser on MacOS Catalina, you're probably having audio playback issues. When you try to play, you see the error message "Apologies...We couldn't play the audio." This applies to synthetic playback and MP3 recordings. Videos continue to play fine. Unfortunately, this is due to a bug Apple introduced in a recent version of Safari (Late 2021), and there is no fix available on our end. If this bug affects you, our advice is to do one of the following: Use a different web browser (Firefox or Chrome). Upgrade your MacOS to a newer (post-Catalina) version. Wait for Apple to fix the bug. They're tight-lipped about their future plans, so we have no idea when they'll do this.
  • I am not allowed to view a page, but I do have a subscription for it.
    If it turns out that you are not allowed to view a certain page, but you feel that it is part of your subscription, please contact us . We may have forgotten to link a page to the subscription.
  • How can I download and register the app?

  • Do I have to pay for the app?
    No, downloading the app is completely free, but you do need a subscription to view and/or play the exclusive content.
  • I have a subscription, but get the message that I have to pay.
    This message comes if you have a paid account on the website but logged into the app with a different email address. Check the email address you subscribed with, log out and log in with the correct email address. Then try again to view the correct content
  • The App crashes after opening a program.
    Log out of the app and log in again Open the app. Tap My Profile at the bottom. Tap Log Out at the bottom. Log in again with your email address (If the problem is not resolved) Restart your mobile device. for Android devices: Long press the app icon on your device's home screen. Tap App info . Tap Storage . Tap Clear data . Open the app and log in again. Check if your app is up to date Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play: Search for 'Guitar tabs app'. Click Update (if available). Note: If there is no option to update, it means you are using the most recent version of the app. Make sure you're using a supported device.
