Wayfaring Stranger

(Am)I am a poor wayfaring stranger,
While traveling (Dm)through this world of (Am)alone
Yet there's no (Am)sickness, toil or danger

(Am)Though dark clouds will gather round me -
I know my (Dm)way is rough and (Am)steep -
Yet beauteous (Am)fields lie just before me,
Where God's (Dm)redeemed their (G)vigils (Am)keep.

(Am)Cause I a poor wayfaring stranger
Traveling (Dm)trought this world (Am)alone
